Frequently Asked Question
How many copies of the print are included?
All of our engineered commercial prints come with 5 sets of plans. They will also include an electronic PDF copy that will be emailed to the purchaser.
Does my print need to be engineered?
While there are a large number of areas that you do not need an engineered print to build, some municipalities have set guidelines for what will and will not need stamped engineered prints to build. It is best to check with your local building official to determine what is needed for your project prior to purchasing materials and starting construction.
Are engineered prints available without a seal?
All Engineered prints would have a seal on them. We do offer code exempt prints that would not have an engineer's seal on them and are common for buildings that do not require a Professional Engineer to prepare the prints and to seal them.
Can prints from other designers be sealed by Midwest Manufacturing?
Our engineers will not be able to seal prints that are supplied by an outside supplier. Our team would start fresh with the structural calculations of the building and then draw a new print based on the calculations.
Do I need to purchase materials from Midwest Manufacturing if I purchase engineering?
All of our engineered prints require the major structural components to be purchased from Midwest Manufacturing. Our engineers will use specifications from our components to help determine the overall loadings for a building.
