Frequently Asked Questions

Can I match my roof pitch with the house?

We offer a wide variety of roof pitches. But if you don't have a standard pitch roof and need something custom, our team can help you match the pitch to your existing structures.

Do I need to have a concrete floor?

A concrete floor is not required in a post frame building. This is a big advantage that post frame buildings have over traditional stick frame buildings. You can get your building now and add concrete in the future if you like or leave as a dirt/ gravel floor. If you plan to add concrete in the future, we can modify your design to make sure you have your full headroom height inside after the floor is installed.

Do you offer storage trusses for attic storage?

Room in attic trusses are a great option to add additional storage to your building. These trusses allow for a room area inside the cavity of the truss for storage all without increasing your building footprint. The roof pitch on a RIA truss is typically greater to allow for enough height inside the truss to give you adequate headroom in the attic space.

Is it less expensive than traditional stick framed garages?

Post Frame building construction allows you to frame a building using fewer materials than a stick framed building. Using larger framing members, but less of them, your building is built faster and with less material saving you money on both labor and materials. Combine this with the fact that the foundation of your post frame building is included in the materials (concrete footing pads), you can have your post frame built and usable for a lower price.

Can I build now and insulate in the future?

Yes this is an option with post frame buildings. The most common method is to bookshelf your interior wall girts and install R-19 wall insulation horizontally to fill the wall cavity.
